TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By joining Conundrum Theatre’s classes you agree to the following:

  • FEES

    • Fees should be paid in full by the due date, prior to the start of the term (unless your child is joining mid-term).

    • Please note that your child’s enrolment rolls over into the next term. If you wish to withdraw your child from classes, four weeks’ written notice is required.

    • Fees are charged as a full-term commitment and cannot be pro-rated for missed sessions or partial attendance

    • If your child’s show falls in the following term, they are expected to do the show and the full term fee be paid.

    • If your child wishes to enrol in additional classes, term fees for both classes must be paid in full

    • Performance Ensemble shows take place in December and June.

    • Impact Collective shows and Pure Play, Play On, Play Up and Musical Theatre showcases take place in Term Three each year. Full term fees are expected to be paid regardless of where the show falls within the term

    • Conundrum Theatre's academic year runs from August- July. Our Play On class runs to the local school academic year. Please enrol in the class that best suits your child’s schedule as we are unable to offer any discounts on fees

  • NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL

    • To ensure the stability of our productions, including the timely securing of performance licenses, venue bookings, and the fair allocation of casting, Conundrum Theatre operates on a continuous enrolment basis.

    • If you wish to withdraw your child from the following term, formal written notice must be provided to the administration no later than the end of week four of the current term.

    • This notice period allows the creative team to adjust scripts, reassign roles, and manage waitlists effectively. Failure to provide notice within this timeframe will result in the full tuition fees for the following term becoming due, as the company will have already incurred non-refundable operational costs linked to the student’s placement.

  • CASTING

    • Casting decisions will be made by the Director and Creative Team

    • All casting decisions are final

    • Not everyone will get the role they want, but everyone will get a role

    • Casting may be changed during the process if it is deemed necessary by the creative team

  • MISSED CLASSES AND REHEARSALS

    • Your child is expected to attend all classes and rehearsals

    • Make up classes are not offered for missed classes, unless they are canceled by the company

    • Refunds on missed classes are not offered, unless they are cancelled by the company

    • Commitment to rehearsals is paramount. If your child misses rehearsals without reasonable notice, they may have their role changed or lines taken away

    • Reasonable notice is 24 hours for illness or at least one week for school or family commitments

  • INJURIES

    • If your child is injured during a class or rehearsal first aid will be rendered

    • The safety and wellbeing of your child is of utmost importance to Conundrum Theatre. We will ensure their mental and physical safety and wellbeing while they are in our care.

    • Harassment, bullying, abuse, or intimidation towards any member of staff will not be tolerated. It goes against the values of our company and may result in your child being removed from their class.

    • Harassment may include, but is not limited to, persistent messaging, phoning, making unreasonable demands, requesting casting changes, or calling repeatedly during classes or after hours.

    • Conundrum Theatre is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. Discriminatory language or behaviour of any kind—including but not limited to homophobic, transphobic, sexist, misogynistic, racist, or ableist speech—will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
